Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) was set up in 1987. The main college of its kind around then, it began it's voyage on the thirteenth of February 1991 with just three divisions: Physics, Chemistry and Economics, 13 instructors and 205 understudies. It has now extended to 7 schools, 27 offices , 2 foundations and various focuses. The quantity of educators has developed to 487 and the understudies to 9262. In addition, the University has 8 associated therapeutic universities under the School of Medical Sciences with 2744 understudies.
